Design

Everything we do at elementa stems from sheer good garden design. This is what we excel at.

It’s often a struggle to know how to get the best out of your garden. With elementa, your garden will develop from my knowledge gained over four decades and over two thousand gardens to date.

There’s no limit to the kind of features you can have in your garden. These include what we call `Honey Pots` – These can be places to sit and enjoy as a family, a place to hide away and read a book, or just stretch out in a scented area as the mood takes you.

Your new garden should tell a story, take you on a journey as you stroll through it. It should be practical and enduring whilst mirroring your own lifestyle and requirements..

Installation

Our associate contractors, whether it be the hard and soft landscape installers, electricians, carpenters and other trades, they will take the project on from the end of the design process to completion.

Nick is available to assist with the setting out of the scheme and ensure that the design is interpreted accurately by the contractors.

When the scheme is nearing completion we start designing the planting scheme with you. This the most exciting stage for us as we believe that the impact of a well planted garden can make the difference between a good garden and an exceptional garden. We have also developed a planting design technique that won`t frighten our non-gardening clients.

Three aftercare packages are then available to ensure that your garden develops to its full potential.

Aftercare

Elementa have three aftercare packages to keep your completed scheme in the manner that you’d expect and assist with developing the garden to its full potential as follows:

1. Scheduled seasonal visits.
Nick Dickinson will re visit the garden at pre-scheduled times of the year to instruct either the client, or their own gardener on techniques to develop the whole garden. He will also provide maintenance tips for specific items such as water features, lawns, trees, path and paving surfaces so that you will be totally confident that your investment will reward you fully. A written record of the items discussed will be available if requested.
These visits will be charged on an hourly basis plus travel.

2. One off maintenance visits.
Not only will you get the seasonal visits in the above package but also a visit from Elementa’s own superb maintenance team. They will carry out all the seasonal pruning and other tasks for an agreed one off price. This is particularly useful to clients that don’t want an all year round maintenance contract, but still want to feel that the garden is in the designer’s good hands.

3. 12 month maintenance contract.
This package will be comprehensive and will put the responsibility of developing the garden entirely in our hands. It will typically comprise, pruning, lawn care & mowing, feeding and the maintenance of all surfaces. It will include proactive advice on the long term cultivation of both the new installation and any other established areas of the garden or grounds. This will be offered as a fixed price monthly contract that will be developed specifically for each client.
