Award Winning Garden Design Cirencester
garden design for contemporary living in Cirencester and the Cotswolds
Award winning garden designer Nick Dickinson, has been creating beautiful gardens in and around Cirencester for four decades now. Nick is a much sought after plantsman and garden designer who is able to take a design brief, however sketchy and transform your garden into something that will really stimulate the senses..
At the core of Elementa is the ability to produce sheer good design. We are renowned for quickly and accurately interpreting our client`s brief and then producing elegant, bold schemes that they recognise as their own.
Nick physically built all his own designs over the first two decades of his career. This gives him an invaluable insight into not only the technical aspect of an installation but also a practical lesson in form and function.

Recent Project
A rural garden on the outskirts of Cirencester in a tranquil setting.
With a very full brief which included the requirement for water, a good sized greenhouse and a gazebo seating area with access from many other areas it was always going to be busy area but by compartmentalising the features between access paths harmony and isolation between the features is achieved.
The planting hues reflect the silver blues of the cedars and spruce backdrop and the timber coatings also lend weight to this effect.
The clients bought this beautiful garden seat from a flower show and we were then asked to create a space in this small Cirencester courtyard garden to show off their investment.
The arbour seat is of course the main feature so we didn’t want to detract from it but just give the effect that it had always been there. Light and delicate pastel colours were used and of attention was paid to incorporating perfume and with that comes the ability to attract butterflies and bees.
A great place to settle into at the end of the day.
This long this garden has been divided up into three quite different compartments or rooms but with a visual link between them.
This nearest garden was required to be a shady seating area off the home office building. The form comes from the existing Yew hedging reduced in height to form cubes of texture to enforce the outdoor room effect.
The boundary yew hedges help distort or upset the long linear shape of the available space but with the gun sight feature the is a clever link right through to the very striking obelisk in the distance. This is even more evident when entering the garden from behind the camera.
